Directed by Lina Soualem, Bye Bye Tiberias is a poetic and powerful portrait of the renowned Palestinian actress Hiam Abbass, who left her village of Deir Hanna in the Galilee to follow her dreams. Years later, she returns with her daughter to explore the legacy of the women she left behind—her mother, grandmother, and sisters—and to reflect on identity, exile, and generational memory.
